FLORIDA’S SEVENTH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT
Florida’s Seventh Congressional District, located in central Florida, encompasses all of Seminole County and much of northern Orange County, including Winter Park and most of downtown Orlando east of Orange Avenue. The Seventh District is a diverse district. More than 30 percent of the district is non-white, with 18.2 percent of the voting age population Hispanic and 9.4 percent African-American. It is also the youngest congressional district in the state with 87.5 of the voting age population younger than 65 years old and 28 percent of the population younger than 36 years old. The district is home to the University of Central Florida (with enrollment over 60,000), Adventists University of Health Sciences, Full Sail University, Rollins College, Seminole State College, and Valencia College.
